Derick DuVall enters his 2nd season as Alma College's Head Women's Wrestling Coach in the fall of 2026, he is the 2
nd Head Women's Wrestling Coach in program history, joining the program in October of 2025.
In his first season with the program, Du Vall led the Scots to a dual meet record of 3-2, and a 10th place finish at the NCAA Regionals. Highlights included a 45-0 dual meet win over Trine University, which was the first dual meet shutout in program history. Alma also collected 182 individual bout victories, with 107 coming via fall, and scored 311.5 team points in open competition.
Du Vall came to Alma after spending two years on staff at Adrian College. He also served as an assistant coach for both the men’s and women’s wrestling programs at Port Charlotte High School. During that time, he coached multiple state qualifiers and placers on both the men’s and women’s sides, including a pair of state placers.
Prior to his move to Florida, Du Vall served as a Graduate Residential Assistant at Adrian College. He also brings experience in the camp setting, working as an Assistant Director with Schindel Wrestling Camps and as a Group Mentor with J Robinson Intensive Wrestling Camps.
Du Vall is a 2023 graduate of MIAA opponent Adrian College, where he was a five year starter and three year captain for the Bulldogs. While at Adrian, he was a three time Academic All American and qualified for the 2023 NCAA Division III National Tournament. He also helped lead Adrian to its first MIAA conference championship in 52 years. He currently holds the all time wins record at Adrian College.
A native of Burbank, Ohio, Du Vall graduated Magna Cum Laude from Adrian twice. In 2022, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Public Relations. In 2023, he earned his Master of Business Administration.
Du Vall currently resides in St. Louis.
