James Larson

James Larson joins the Scots Track & Field/Cross Country coaching staff as an assistant after stepping down as Head Coach from Adrian College for the past eight years to move closer to family. Larson will be taking over as Jumps Coach and helping out with the Distance crew as well. 

During his eight-year tenure at Adrian College his athletes achieved 65 All-MIAA Selections, 19 MIAA individual champions, 6 MIAA Track & Field Most Valuable Athletes, 10 NCAA National Qualifiers and 3 All-Americans. 

Larson graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire with a Bachelor's Degree in Sport Management and moved on to Springfield College (MA) to earn a Master's Degree in Education. He earned NCAA All-America Honors in Track & Field at UW-Eau Claire and achieved WIAA All-Conference/NCAA All-Regional recognition in Cross Country. 

Larson resides in Alma, MI with his wife Sarah and two sons Thomas and Gabe.
