Alma, MI – Alma College Tennis was in action on Thursday evening, taking on Calvin University in MIAA conference action. The Scots were defeated 7-0 on both the men's and women's sides.

Calvin 7, Alma 0
On the men's side, doubles play opened with the no. 1 pairing of Jake Lasceski and Ashton Trnka falling 6-3. John Laxton and Christian Beyers dropped a 6-0 decision at no. 2, and the duo of Alex Jonas and Jacob McNew were felled 6-4 at no. 3.

In singles play, Lasceski dropped the no. 1 matchup by scores of 6-2, 6-0, and Trnka lost 6-0, 6-0 at no. 2. At no. 3 Beyers lost 6-4, 6-1, and Eli Festerling was defeated by scores of 6-1, 6-3 at no 4. McNew lost 6-4, 6-0 at no. 5, and Daniel Hickey dropped a 6-0, 6-1 final at no. 6.

On the women's side of things, Jada Zerlaut and Karly Kushner lost at no. 1 doubles 6-1. Holly Hall and Kayden Alli lost 6-1 at no. 2, and Laney Voisinet and Salma Laraichi fell 6-1 at no. 3.

In singles play, Kushner lost 6-3, 6-3 at no. 1, and Zerlaut fell 6-2, 6-3 at no. 2. The No. 3 matchup saw Hall drop a 6-0, 6-0 decision, and Alli was defeated 6-0, 6-2 at no. 4. Rounding things out, Sophia Hauffe was defeated 6-1, 7-5 at no. 5, and Izzy Troost lost 6-0, 6-2 at no. 6.

The Scots are back in action on Saturday, when they take on Albion College at home in their regular season finale.
