Over the Weekend the Alma Scots Mens and Womens Swim and Dive team headed to Hudsonville High School to take on the Hope College Flying Dutch and The Albion Britons in a MIAA double dual meet match up.
This was a special meet for the Scots new head coach Chris Hamstra as it was his first meet back at the helm with the Scots.
Alma Started the day strong with
Eli Mull taking 2nd place in the mile with a time of 17:07.97.
Sophomores
Sofia Floros and
Laney Voisinet took 3rd and 4th in the 200 Freestyle with a times of 2:05.29 and 2:05.37. Sophomore
Brent Riehl took 2nd place in the 50 Free with a 22.2
After the first dive break the Scots continued their roll. Freshman
Max Nielsen placed 4th in the
200 Fly with a 2:09. In the 500 Free
Eli Mull placed 3rd while on the women's side, junior
Megan Neeley placed 2nd with a 5:29.96. The end of the meet saw Matt Arigoni and Lilly Smith place 2nd and 3rd respectively in the 200 Breast, and a final 200 Free Relay at the end that saw the team of Neeley, Voisinet, Floros, and Ludema get first place with a time of 1:43.84
The Scots are back in action on Saturday January 27th at 1pm as they celebrate Senior Day against the Comets of Olivet University
