Men's Swim and Dive Completes MIAA Champioships

Grand Rapids, Mich.- The Alma College men's swim and dive team completed their season on Saturday (Mar. 13) at the MIAA Championship meet hosted by Calvin University. The Scots finished in sixth place with a team score of 236 points. It was their highest team score at the MIAA meet since 2014. 

Sophomore Nate Sutton led the Scots with a third place finish in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 16:26.64. In the 200 yard medley relay, freshman Luc Lawson, Matt Arrigoni, and Xavier Tarvainen teamed up with sophomore Samuel Bjordahl to finish in sixth place with a time of 1:51.45. Arrigoni was also apart of the 400 yard freestyle relay with Max Carey, Andrew Ludden, and Peyton Triplette. They also earned a sixth place finish with a time of 3:25.00.

"The men did an amazing job this weekend!," said head coach Nick Polzin. "They stepped up big when it counted and kept it close, I couldn't be more proud of this team and all they did this year."

This concludes the season for the Scots.
