Scots Brought Down by Davenport

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Alma College STUNT team fell to Davenport University, 15-12, on the road Sunday afternoon.

The Scots took a 4-2 lead after the first quarter, winning on both routines seven and four during the frame. Davenport came back and took the second quarter by a score of 4-2 to level things up a 6-6 heading into halftime.

In the third quarter, Alma was outscored, 4-1, putting the Scots in a 10-7 hole going into the fourth and final quarter. Alma and Davenport each scored five points in the fourth as the Panthers held on for a three-point victory.

"It was a good day, we went undefeated against DU in stunt 7 and 8. We had never even tied them before this year," Head Coach Michelle Sabourin said. "We are proud of the girls' effort against a strong D2 opponent."

Alma will head to Tiffin University for a match on Sunday, March 7th.
