BACK-TO-BACK NATIONAL CHAMPS! Dance Wins Second Title

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Alma College dance team earned its second National Championship in program history on Friday as the Scots were named the NDA Division III Team Performance Champions at the Collegiate Championships. 

The Scots won with a performance score of 91.08, more than four points than the next highest competitor. The Scots earned a 9.30 in Performance Impression, a 9.18 in Jazz Quality of Movement, a 9.14 in Pom Quality of Movement, a 9.22 in Hip Hop Quality of Movement, and a 9.22 in Staging. 

This is the second-straight year of competition that the Scots earned a National Championship. Alma was the 2019 Team Performance Champions. There was no competition in 2020 due the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Alma also finished second in the Jazz Open Finals with a performance score of 91.0571.
