Women's tennis falls at home

Alma, Mich. - The Alma College women's tennis team suffered an 8-1 loss at home on Saturday (March 18) to Lawrence Technological University.

The lone point of the match for the Scots went to freshman Bernadette Garibay (Lansing, Mich./Grand Ledge) at No. 6 singles. Garibay defeated Lawrence Tech's Sarah Burgess 6-4, 3-6, 10-7.

The women's team falls to 2-6 overall, with no conference matches being played until next month.

The Scots will face Concordia University in their next match on Tuesday, March 21. The match is set to begin at 11:30 a.m.
