Freeland, Mich. - Freshman forward Lily Stephan (DeWitt, Mich. / DeWitt) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's soccer offensive Athlete of the Week on Monday (Oct. 28). This is the first time Stephan received the honor and the fourth time the program has had a conference athlete of the week this season.
Stephan delivered the assist on the game-winning goal in the 88th minute against Kalamazoo, crossing the ball to Paige Messick (Midland, Mich. / Herbert Henry Dow High School) in the middle of the box. Messick scored to lead Alma to a 1-0 victory. Earlier in the week against Calvin, Stephan found Kayleigh Reilly (Mt. Pleasant, Mich. / Mt. Pleasant High School) for the game's first goal in an eventual 2-1 win.
