Women's Lacrosse Falls to Albion

Alma, Mich. - The Alma College women's lacrosse team dropped a 22-4 decision to Albion on Wednesday (April 10) in its last home game of the regular season.

Olivia Benoit (Grosse Pointe, Mich. / Grosse Pointe North) led the Scots (3-8, 0-5 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association) with three goals and six draw controls. Allie Ray (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y. / Comsewogue) made 16 saves and picked up a game-high six ground balls. Kalyn Thompson (Jackson, Mich. / Hanover Horton) also scored for the second straight game.

Chrystelle Lopez and Carly Schwarz each posted five goals for the Britons (9-3, 4-0 MIAA). Destiny Okon added four goals and seven draw controls. Alexis Robinson made five saves in net.

Alma plays its last three games of the regular season on the road, starting with a trip to Angola, Ind. to face Trine University on Saturday (April 13). Game time is set for 1 p.m.
