Benoit Earns MIAA Player of the Week

Freeland, Mich. - Junior midfielder Olivia Benoit (Grosse Pointe, Mich. / Grosse Pointe North) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's lacrosse offensive player of the week, as announced by the conference on Monday (March 4).

Benoit scored a total of 14 goals last week, including a seven-goal game against Franklin; that is the fourth-most goals in a single game in the history of the women's lacrosse program. She also picked up eight ground balls and caused seven turnovers against the Grizzlies.

Earlier in the week, Benoit earned seven draw controls and scored four goals on six shots against Waynesburg and scored the game-winning goal in double overtime against Thomas More College (KY).
