Alma, Mich. - Freshman goalkeeper Allie Ray (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./Comsewogue) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate women's lacrosse defensive player of the week, as announced by the conference on Monday (March 13) afternoon.
Ray was crucial for the Scots in a 9-8 overtime win over Concordia University of Chicago on Sunday. She made 11 saves and allowed eight goals, good for a save percentage of 57.9 percent.
Ray leads the MIAA in save percentage at 53.1 percent and is second in goals-against average at 8.37 and saves with 34, three behind the conference leader.
