Women’s Bowling finishes ninth at Western Shootout

Indianapolis, Ind. - The Alma College women's bowling team finished ninth at the Columbia 300 Western Shootout over the weekend with a total of 8009 pins.

Josee Hale (Defiance, Ohio / Defiance Senior High) finished in 15th place with 1107 points, averaging 184.5 over six games. Her highest was a 213 in the fifth. Emma Davis (Horton, Mich / Hanover Horton) finished 27th with a 1060, averaging 176.7. Rachel Kuczajda pitched in with 839 over five games, averaging 167.8. Kemmie Shunk scored 704 over four games, averaging 176 per. Emily Zalenko (White Lake, Mich. / North Farmington) averaged 180.7 over three games and Brooke Fornetti (Iron Mountain, Mich. / Iron Mountain) averaged 174.7 over the same amount.

Alma returns to action on Saturday (Oct. 26) when it travels to Canton, Mich., for the American Heartland I and II Tournaments.
