Women’s Basketball Stopped by Trine

Angola, Ind. - The Alma College women's basketball team fell to Trine University (IN) 71-33 on Wednesday (Feb. 5) evening.

Jeny Brandt (Escanaba, Mich. / Escanaba) led the Scots with eight points. She also had a game-high 11 rebounds and four blocks. Emily Eldridge (Battle Creek, Mich. / Battle Creek Lakeview) pitched in with seven points off the bench.

Madison Hill (Midland, Mich. / Bullock Creek) posted two points, three rebounds, two assists and two steals. Hannah Thelen (Pewamo, Mich. / Pewamo-Westphalia) also had a well-rounded effort with four points, two boards, two steals and one assist.

Maddie Robbins (Saint Johns, Mich. / Saint Johns) tallied five points off the bench. Oretha Humphries (Detroit, Mich. / Detroit Edison Public) had four points and Jackie Jarvis (Fowlerville, Mich. / Fowlerville) rounded out the scoring with three

The Scots return to action on Saturday (Feb. 8) when they host Saint Mary's (IN) at 3:00 p.m. Alma lost to the Belles 55-51 earlier in the year after nearly completing a 12-point comeback.
