Albion, Mich. - The Alma College women's basketball team fell 72-47 to Albion College on Wednesday (Jan. 15) evening.
Jackie Jarvis (Fowlerville, Mich. / Fowlerville) led the Scots (7-9, 2-5 MIAA) with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting and 3-of-3 from three-point range. Oretha Humphries (Detroit, Mich. / Detroit Edison Public) contributed 13 points and Maddie Robbins (Saint Johns, Mich. / Saint Johns) added nine off the bench.
Three Britons scored at least 17 points: Evelyn Wischmeyer, Rain Hinton and Emily Bernas. No one else scored more than seven.
Alma trailed by 11 at the half. Neither team shot well in the third quarter but Albion was able to expand its lead to 16 on its way to the win.
The Scots are off this Saturday and return to action on Wednesday (Jan. 22) when they travel to Holland to take on Hope College. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
