Alma, Mich. - The Alma College women's basketball team fell 85-42 to No. 17 University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh on Monday (Nov. 25). The loss drops Alma to 4-3 overall while the Titans improve to 3-3.
Alma struggled shooting the ball, making only 31 percent of its shots. Madison Hill (Midland, Mich. / Bullock Creek) led the Scots with 16 points and seven rebounds while Hannah Thelen (Pewamo, Mich. / Pewamo-Westphalia) pitched in with 11 points, three boards, one assist, one steal and one block.
UW-Oshkosh closed the first quarter on an 11-0 run and kept its momentum throughout the second quarter, scoring 30 points on 58 percent shooting. Alma trailed 50-24 at the half and never got back to within 20.
The Scots have a week off before opening conference play. They'll travel to Saint Mary's (IN) on Wednesday (Dec 4) to take on the Belles at 7:00 p.m.
