Arnold earns All-Region honors from USTFCCCA

Alma, Mich. - Senior Kaitlyn Arnold (Jackson, Mich./Northwest) has been named to The All-Great Lakes Region team in two events by The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, the organization announced recently.

Arnold earned all-region accolades in the 3,000- and 5,000 meter runs after placing among the top five runners in the region in both events.

Arnold ran a collegiate best time of 9:50.08 in the 3,000 at the GVSU Open on January 20, and posted a season-best mark of 17:31.46 at the GVSU Big Meet Invitational on February 10. Her 3,000-meter time finished as the fourth-best mark in the region, while time in the 5,000 was third.

Arnold, who also earned all-region honors in cross country in the fall, finished the indoor track & field season as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association champion in the women's 5,000-meters.
