Scots Take on Britons in Dual Meet

Albion, Mich. - The Alma College swim and dive team traveled to Albion College for a dual meet on Saturday, January 12. Both the men's and women's teams took second place to the Britons, by a 327-175 margin. 

What Happened 

  • The women earned a total of 105 points, while the men had 70. 
  • The solo first-place finish for the Scots today came from Eric Ferrara (Livonia, Mich. / Stevenson), who won the men's 200-yard freestyle race with a time of 1:51.39.
  • The men's 200-yard freestyle relay team of Ferrara, Connor Hart (Northville, Mich. / Northville), Will Brown (Spring Lake, Mich. / Spring Lake), and Leevi Olson (Sault Ste. Marie, Mich. / Sault Area) won their race with a time of 1:35.17.
  • Senior Kate Lehman (Haslett, Mich. / Haslett) took second place in a pair of events, swimming the women's 100 and 200-yard butterfly events in 1:05.65 and 2:26.72. 
  • In the women's 100-yard backstroke race, Allison Brown (Spring Lake, Mich. / Spring Lake) finished in a close second place, touching the wall at 1:05.00. 
  • Jennifer Ostrowski (Northville, Mich. / Northville) was less than a second away from winning the 100-yard breaststroke race (1:14.09).
