SOFTBALL: Scots take two from Calvin

The Scots went to Calvin knowing that with two wins they could wrap up the MIAA regular season championship. Alma got those two wins today, 5-0 and 12-0.

The first game of the double header was a pitcher's battle for the first five innings. However, the Scots came up in the sixth with the score 0-0 and piled up the only five runs of th game. Junior Amy Gaudard (Mt. Pleasant) started out the inning with a single and was driven in when freshman Houston Verbeck (Flint/Kearsley)  hit a double to center.
