Men's Tennis Drops Tight Match to St. Francis

Fort Wayne, Ind. - The Alma College men's tennis team lost 5-4 to the University of St. Francis (IN) on Sunday (Feb. 24). The Scots fall to 1-3 on the year while the Cougars improve to 3-9.

How It Happened

  • After dropping the first set, Brandon Ralston (Cadillac, Mich. / Cadillac) came from behind to defeat Jay Stanchin 0-6, 6-3, 10-6.
  • Brett Reuter (Armada, Mich. / Armada) won a tight contest with Tyler Christlieb, 6-4, 7-5.
  • Jadon House (Brighton, Mich. / Brighton) easily took care of Alex Stavretis, 6-1, 6-2.
  • David Suidgeest (St. Johns, Mich. / St. Johns), Brendan Murdie (Novi, Mich. / Walled Lake Western) and Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich. / Big Rapids) all took losses in the rest of singles competition.
  • The team of Murdie and Suidgeest picked up the only doubles win, 8-2 over Jarod May & Steve Mullaney.
