Men's Tennis Defeats Defiance, 7-2

Defiance, Ohio - The Alma College men's tennis team beat Defiance College 7-2 on Friday (Feb. 22) for its first win of the spring season.

Despite dropping the first two matches, the Scots picked up wins the rest of the way, starting with a 6-1, 6-2 win by Jadon House (Brighton, Mich. / Brighton). Sam Lindeman (Greenville, Mich. / Greenville) beat Micaiah Cox 6-2, 6-2 and Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich. / Big Rapids) defeated Seth Mangas 6-0, 6-3.

In doubles competition, Brandon Ralston (Cadillac, Mich. / Cadillac) and Brett Reuter (Armada, Mich. / Armada) topped Jared Schnee and Ring Lardner 8-1 and House and David Suidgeest (St. Johns, Mich. / St. Johns) beat Cox and Ethan Harris 8-5.

Alma returns to action on Saturday (Feb. 23) against Franklin College at 11:00 a.m.
