Men's tennis falls to Daemen in non-conference action

East Lansing, Mich. - The Alma College men's tennis team suffered a 9-0 blanking at the hands of Daemen College (NY) on Saturday (Feb. 10) afternoon at the MSU Tennis Center.

The Scots (2-1 overall) fell in straight sets in every singles match after Daemen (4-2), a member of NCAA Division II swept the doubles action. 

The Scots almost took at point at No. 3 doubles, where the team of freshman Brandon Ralston (Cadillac, Mich./Cadillac) and senior Quinn Summerfield (Lowell, Mich./Lowell) lost in a tiebreaker, 8-6.

The Scots will travel to Grand Rapids, Mich., on Friday, Feb. 16, to face Cornerstone University, with the match scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
