Men's Soccer Falls at NAIA Cleary

Howell, Mich. - The Alma College men's soccer team dropped a game at Cleary University 1-0 on Monday (Sept. 24) afternoon. Alma is now 3-4 overall; Cleary is 2-2-1.

Senior goalkeeper Andrew Reid (Clarkston, Mich. / Clarkston) made five saves. Juniors Noah Canlas (Naperville, Ill. / Naperville Central), Tanner Parrett (Muskegon, Mich. / Mona Shores) and Kyle Farmer (Greenville, Mich. / Greenville) each tallied a shot on goal for the Scots.

Cleary's Benjamin Delage scored the game's only goal in the 19th minute. Brandon Dellaposta assisted the goal.


  • Noah Canlas tied for the team lead with three total shots.
  • Kyle Costigan (East Tawas, Mich. / Tawas Area) played for the first time since September 2. Jake Geary (Novi, Mich. / Novi) played for the first time since September 7. Both registered one shot.
  • Cleary took 12 shots to Alma's eight.
  • Alma had four corner kicks, twice as many as Cleary.
  • The Cougars were called for 12 fouls in the game.
