Men's Soccer Falls 2-0 at Hope

Holland, Mich. - The Alma College men's soccer team fell to Hope 2-0 on Saturday (Sept. 30) evening. The Scots drop to 0-4-2 in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 0-7-3 overall while the Flying Dutchmen improve to 4-1-1 in the MIAA and 5-4-1 overall.

What Happened

  • Jared Wondergem scored Hope's first goal in the 44th minute. He flashed in front of the net and deflected a cross from James Reymann past Garrison Mast (Grand Haven, Mich. / Grand Haven) in net.
  • Reymann scored, himself, in the 74th minute on a penalty kick.


  • Mast made five saves in the game. He leads the MIAA with 54 saves.
  • Noah Canlas (Naperville, Ill. / Naperville Central) led the Scots with four shots.
