Louisville - Jared Nycz (Buffalo, N.Y. / Iroquois), a senior captain on the Alma College men's lacrosse team, has been named an honorable mention All-American by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA), the organization announced on Thursday (May 23).
This is the first time Nycz has been recognized as an All-American. Earlier this offseason, he was named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Offensive Player of the Year for the second time — he is the first player in conference history to achieve this feat. He is also the first MIAA player to be named an All-MIAA First-Team member all four years.
Nycz is Alma College's program leader in points (90) and assists (51) in a single season. He registered a point in every game so far this season, including a career-high eight goals in the Scots' 25-11 victory at Adrian College this year. Nycz also tallied his 300th career point in the same game.
Nycz ends his career as the MIAA all-time leader in points scored in conference games. He is also currently ranked 16th on the all-time Division III assists list.
