Alma, Mich. - Junior Bryce Bohrmann (Grand Rapids, Mich./Pennfield) has been named the Men's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association, it was announced today (Monday, Match 20).
Borhmann, who received the honor for the first time in his career, scored 12 goals and tallied two assists for 14 points as the Scots won both their games last week.
In the 18-5 win at Heidelberg University (OH) on Wednesday (March 15), Bohrmann netted a school-record eight goals and notched an assist for a career-high nine points. Entering the contest, he had a total of eight goals in 25 career games.
On Saturday (March 18) against Northland College (WI), Bohrmann posted his second career hat trick, scoring four times and tallying a helper for five points in Alma's 25-8 win.
For the season, Bohrmann has played in seven games, scoring a career-high 13 goals and recording a career-best three assists for 16 points. He is also the third student-athlete from Alma College to earn Player of the Week honors this season.
Alma (5-2 overall) will host the College of Wooster (OH) on Wednesday, March 22, in a non-conference matchup a Bahlke Field. The game is scheduled for a 6:00 p.m. start.
