Men's Golf fights the elements in third MIAA Jamboree

Adrian, Mich. - The Alma College men's golf team finished sixth at the third MIAA Jamboree on Saturday (Sept. 28) from the Lenawee Golf Club. The event hosted by Adrian College was won by Trine University with an overall team score of 286. The Scots finished with an overall team score of 315, putting them ahead of Albion College and Olivet College.

The Scots were led individually by freshman Andrew Curran (Byron Center, Mich./ Jenison) and senior Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich./ Big Rapids), who each finished with a score of 75. Behind the pair was sophomore Eli Pinter (Muskegon, Mich. /Reeths-Puffer) who finished with a 78. Senior Luke Lamoreaux (Sterling Heights, Mich. /Stevenson) was next for the Scots with a score of 87. Sophomore JP McDonald (Jackson, Mich. /Hillsdale Academy) finished the scoring for the Scots with a 90.

The Scots will be back in action for the fourth MIAA Jamboree of the season on Monday (Sept. 30) from the Kalamazoo Country Club. Tee-off is set for 12:00 pm.
