Wyoming, Mich.- The Alma College men's golf team played round two of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Fall Finale on Saturday (Oct. 13) afternoon to wrap up their fall 2018 season. The Scots finished eighth at the tournament, shooting a 669 (+109).
The Scots ended the season seventh in the conference. Hope College finished in first place with 1718 strokes total, Calvin took second with 1770 and Trine in third with 1799 strokes.
How It Happened
- Freshman Eli Pinter (Muskegon, Mich. / Reeths-Puffer) led the Scots again today, tying for 36th place with an overall score of 162 (+22).
- Senior Kyle Bodkins (Ada, Mich. / Forest Hills Central) shot a 167 (+27) at the end of the tournament and tied for 39th.
- Tait Morrissey (Canadian Lakes, Mich. / Big Rapids) and Bennett Schmitt (Frankfort, Mich. / Frankfort) took 41st and 42nd place, scoring a 168 (+28) and a 172 (+32), respectively.
- In 44th and 45th place, Luke Lamoreaux (Sterling Heights, Mich. / Sterling Heights Stevenson) and JP McDonald (Jackson, Mich. / Hillsdale Academy) each shot a 181 (+41) and a 187 (+47) overall.
This concludes the fall season for the men's golf team.
