Freeland, Mich. - Patrick Hite (Michigan Center, Mich. / Michigan Center) has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Football Defensive Athlete of the Week for his efforts in a 23-14 win over Trine University (IN) on Saturday (Oct. 12). This is the first time a Scot has earned the defensive honor this season.
Hite made six tackles including one sack, two tackles for loss and recovered one fumble. The fumble recovery was Trine's only turnover and came deep in Thunder territory. The Scots capitalized off the recovery with the go-ahead touchdown. His sack forced a 2nd & long late in the game with Trine needing to score.
