Esports Falls In Season Opener

Alma, Mich. - The Alma College League of Legends team lost 2-0 to Davenport University in a best-of-three game series on Thursday. This was the Scots first match of the regular season as they look to repeat as the GG League Champions. 

The Scots shot out to an early lead but the Panthers were able to rally back and end up victorious. Nolan Rowland was Alma College's top player on the night as he led the way creating solo elimintations around the map and helping his team push their advantages. Rowland, who was using the champion Pantheon, ended up with 12 eliminations, six deaths, and six assists. 

Alma College will look to pick up its first victory when it squares off with Western Illinois University - Quad Cities on Thursday at 8 p.m.
