Men's basketball falls to MIAA leaders

The men's basketball team suffered back-to-back defeats last week to Olivet College and Hope College, both of which are tied for the lead in the MIAA standings. Alma surrendered a 14-point second half lead in an 81-75 road loss to the Comets on Wednesday (Feb. 7), while the Scots had their three-game home winning streak snapped in a 95-73 setback against the Flying Dutchmen on Saturday (Feb. 10). Sophomore Ryan Stevens scored 15 points against Olivet and posted a season-high 23 points in the loss to Hope. Stevens, with 146 assists this year, needs 11 more to set the single-season school record, currently held by All-American Scott Nikodemski (156 in 2015-16).
